About Me!
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! As you may know by now... my name is Sophia! I am an NYC and Minneapolis based actress and student. I grew up in snowy and beautiful Minnesota (SKOL Vikings!), where I fostered my love for acting and the theatre within the Twin Cities theatre community. Fast forward to today... I am a soon to be graduate of the Pace University BFA Acting program, where I have honed my technique over the past four years. During my time at Pace, I have had the opportunity to play some of the most wonderful roles, such as Mariane in Moliere's Tartuffe and Nina in Chekhov's masterpiece The Seagull. When not performing, you can find me on the ski slopes, chefing up a tasty dish, and rocking out to music your dad probably likes!
As an actress, I am in love with both classical and contemporary works alike. I am drawn to telling emotionally driven stories of strong women with biting wit and who hold the card to their own ending. Consider me a mysterious girl next door, an uppity catholic school princess, and a period piece ingenue. Think something between the kooky comedy Drop Dead Gorgeous and Shakespeare's melancholy classic Measure for Measure. I have a passion for working with heightened text, physical comedy, and improvisation, and am eager to explore these avenues further post-grad. Beyond acting, I also enjoy directing, dramaturgy, and writing. I find the creative process of telling stories, both on stage and screen, to be the most magical thing on Earth. I hope to make that magic with you soon!
